About Us

Brothers Jason and Josh Soderlund began their journey in woodworking through years of dedicated apprenticeship and hands-on experience in West Yellowstone, Montana. Their time there not only refined their skills but also instilled a deep appreciation for the artistry and precision that quality craftsmanship demands.

In 2013, Jason and Josh established Soderlund’s Wood Mill in Chisago City, MN, setting up shop in the historic feed mill. The unique character of the building provided an ideal backdrop for creating wood carvings and outdoor furniture.

As their reputation for quality work grew, so did the demand for expanded capabilities. In spring of 2022, the Wood Mill relocated to its current location on Highway 8 in St. Croix Falls, WI. The new facility—three times the size of the original—provides the space necessary to accommodate larger projects while fostering continued growth and innovation.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, Jason and Josh continually strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible in woodworking. Their focus remains on delivering high-quality, custom solutions while ensuring a collaborative and rewarding experience for each client.

In 2024, recognizing the growing interest in sauna solutions, Soderlund’s Wood Mill expanded to become a sauna dealer offering a comprehensive line of saunas and sauna products. Leveraging their extensive woodworking expertise, they are uniquely positioned to provide tailored solutions that meet clients at every stage of their sauna journey—from initial concept through to final installation.
